Hello! It has been quite awhile since we last posted. I was currently going through a period in my life where I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. Transitioning into adulthood, studying for finals and finding a decent job stressed me out. This is something every one goes through, but me being my stubborn self I felt like I was alone in this. I didn’t have any motivation to go photograph shows and write about music reviews; I felt drained.
It wasn’t until February where I genuinely felt happy. As funny as it seems the cure to my sadness was listening to synthy music, especially early 2010s indie pop. In a way it was like a wakeup call telling me everything is going to be fine. I realized the only way I am going to happy with myself is to take action with my choices. I compiled a little playlist of some new tunes that always put a smile across my face. Enjoy! I hope a few tracks make your head bop.

It’s finally Summer!! We’ve all been though a lot since last summer and after what feels like forever,it’s time to relax(or at least try). I’ve curated a playlist filled with the songs I always come back to during this season along with some great new releases. I hope that this playlist is the perfect soundtrack to all of your summer from the late night car rides and adventures to your dog days.
January brings in the new year and so does our new playlist contributed by the staff here at Lucid Dreams. Hopefully you’ll find an artist you haven’t heard of before and reminisce on some past favorites like we did!

Time sure has flown by this year and boy it has been a wild and hectic ride. Here in California the cold weather is finally kicking in, so I thought it would be a perfect time to make a playlist for a cold and relaxing day in. Listening to artists like Bon Iver and The National always fit the gloomy vibe. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I did making it! So grab a hot coffee and a fuzzy blanket to wind down.
With such a male dominated industry, we felt like it was time to put a much deserved spotlight on all the incredible female driven artists and bands by composing a playlist dedicated to them! Female empowerment is essential to this publication, and more importantly, to the vast amount of women trying to pave their own path in the world today. Enjoy!

For the past couple of months I have catched myself having my speakers or earphones at the highest volume when I’m listening to this certain playlist. There are many genres that make me want to turn up my speakers and lose it, but I leaned towards variations of rock this time. I threw in some new artists that should be in your music library such as, Broken Hands and Them Things, as well as some older bands that will give you some nostalgia. So turn this playlist up and go punch a wall!

Happy throwback Thursday! I’ve recently watched the Oasis documentary, Supersonic, and needless to say, it did my head in. Naturally, I had to make a playlist based around the era that is the glorious nineties. While there may be over a hundred songs on this playlist, you’ll find anything from Oasis to 2Pac.Ultimate 90s Playlist
