Neon Indian Live at The Teragram Ballroom

Photos and words by Kayla Fernandez

Hailing from Denton, Texas, Neon Indian (Alan Palomo) made his way to starry-lit downtown LA to perform a sold out gig at the Teregram Ballroom. Palomo’s endless energetic dance moves kept the crowd alive. From performing older hits like “Mind Drips” to covering Prince’s “Pop Life”, Neon Indian kept the audience on their toes. Palomo never missed a beat and carried that charisma throughout the entire set, inspiring the crowd to try and mimic his hip swaying dance moves. Having seen Neon Indian before, I can say this is the best I’ve seen him yet; he illuminated the room with laughter, cheers, and the audience’s echoes of his songs.

Decemburrrr Tunes

By Kayla Fernandez

Time sure has flown by this year and boy it has been a wild and hectic ride. Here in California the cold weather is finally kicking in, so I thought it would be a perfect time to make a playlist for a cold and relaxing day in. Listening to artists like Bon Iver and The National always fit the gloomy vibe. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I did making it! So grab a hot coffee and a fuzzy blanket to wind down.

Dreamy Tunes Playlist // August 2016

Last month and this month I’ve been finding myself listening to music that is very mellow and dream like. The type of music where you lay in your bedroom in the dark for hours. I enjoy listening to this playlist when I want to wind down after a long day. There are some newer artists in the mix like Porches, Banes World and Twin Cabins. Also some older bands such as Tame Impala, Phoenix and Neon Indian. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I did making this! Hopefully you will discover a new artist in this playlist and check them out.
